The course is designed for all employees who must be able to respond appropriately in the event of an incipient fire.
The training aims to acquire the necessary knowledge and skills to respond appropriately in the event of an incipient fire.

What will you learn during this Small Fire Extinguisher training?

Theory

• Fire Safety Basics
  Understand the basics of fire safety and how to recognize fires early.
• Types of Extinguishers
  Learn about the different types of small extinguishers (such as powder extinguishers, foam extinguishers, and CO2 extinguishers) and their specific uses.
• Proper Extinguishing Techniques
  Practice proper techniques for the effective use of small extinguishers in various types of fires.
• Maintenance and Inspection
  Gain an understanding of the inspection and maintenance of fire extinguishers to ensure their operability.
• Safety and Risks
  Learn how to act safely during an incipient fire and what risks to avoid.
• Emergency Procedures
  Reinforce your knowledge of the procedures to follow after using an extinguisher, including alerting emergency services.

Practice

• Practical Exercises: Apply your knowledge in hands-on exercises so you can act confidently and effectively in an emergency situation.
• Be able to extinguish an incipient fire using portable powder extinguishers, CO2 extinguishers and (optional) foam.
• Be able to extinguish a burning French fry pan using a fire blanket.
• Be able to handle a wall reel (optional).

Admission requirements

The student must be at least 18 years old.

Duration

In-house Training: The training takes 1 day.
Bessac-VCAdiploma: 1 day. The theoretical exam takes 15 minutes and the practical exam 30 minutes.
Validity period Bessac-VCA diploma: Upon completion of the training, the student receives a certificate as proof of participation. This certificate remains valid indefinitely.
